My Story

My name is Tara Demand. My love of baking was instilled by my grandmother. By trade, I am a Registered Nurse. I earned my RN in 2006 after my grandmother passed in 2004. Her last words to me were, "I still think you would make a great nurse." With three young sons I started my journey in nursing. Fast forward many years, I had a daughter, gained two bonus children, two daughter-laws and an MBA. My love of baking has still burned strong.

In 2020, my youngest daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. This diagnosis took everything that I knew about baking, and threw it down the kitchen sink. I had to start over from scratch learning how to bake in a new way. Here we are now in 2022 and I think that I have been able to create some pretty delicious and visually appealing gluten-free dessert options...without sacrificing taste or quality. Out of this was born "Annie June's." Annie is my daughter (short for Annalisa), and June was my grandma's middle name.
