Cooking and baking is both physical and mental therapy - Mary Berry

I approach baking with an emphasis on delicious gluten-free treats. Baking has always been therapeutic for me. I am most at "home" when I am creating something delicious and beautiful for others to enjoy.

When not in my kitchen, I'm adventuring with my husband Joe, or enjoying time with our 6 children and their spouses. 

I am an avid reader and writer, with a focus on mental health and recovery.

My love of baking was instilled by my grandmother (Dona June). I used to tell her that one day we would open our own bakery. When she passed in 2004, I became a Registered Nurse. That bakery idea still lived inside me. In 2007, my daughter Annalisa was born. She was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2019. I had to take everything that I knew about baking and start from scratch. Gluten-Free foods can be difficult to procure, expensive and sometimes lack flavor. This inspired me to create delectable, beautiful and accessible treats. Out of this, was born "Annie June's."
